Due to the high concentration of foreign residents in certain areas, Turkey’s Ministry of Interior has restricted issuing first-time residence permits in the following zones:

Antalya (Konyaaltı): Liman, Hurma, Sarısu

Alanya: Mahmutlar, Kestel, Avsallar, Kargıcak

Istanbul: Fatih, Esenyurt, Başakşehir, Beyoğlu, and others

Required Documents for a Residence Permit in Turkey (2025)

To apply, you will need to prepare the following:

  • Residence permit application form (submitted online via the migration office portal)
  • Passport + copies (main page and latest entry stamp)
  • 4 biometric photos (white background, taken within the last 6 months)
  • Bank statement showing sufficient funds: (recommended: at least 13,000 ₺ per person per month — 50% of the minimum wage in 2025)
  • Valid health insurance covering the duration of stay
  • Receipt of state fee payment (paid at the immigration office on submission day)
  • Title deed (TAPU) and an updated land registry document proving ownership
